Obong Akpan Isemin's Funeral et al... (Posted: 24.08.09)

Dear Constituents,

I have found it difficult to deal with the loss of our sage, Obong Akpan Isemin, the 1st civilian governor of Akwa Ibom State, a man of deep intelligence, a witty politician, a father and my counsellor. I will miss so much of his analytical mind and wise counsel.

In the next 48hrs, I hope to give you some information on my activities in the US and details of the burial of our great patroit, Obong Akpan Isemin, the captain of "Ubom Noah".

I cannot end this letter without calling on all my constituents to collectively and individually thank Governor Godswill Akpabio for according our late sage, a most befitting burial, complete with all the trappings of state honor. We must most importantly, observe and thank our Governor for sparing time to attend ALL the events lined up for this burial over a 4-day period.
