I was born on February 1, 1973. I attended Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene, for my secondary school education. I was elected as Etinan state representative in 2007 under the flagship of the People's Democratic Party. Prior to assuming my elected office, I was the commissioner of the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission.

In the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, I am currently the Chairman of the Appropriation and Finance Committee and Deputy Chairman, Committee on Rural Development as well as a member of the following committees: Information, Commerce, Youths and Sports, Industry, Tourism and the NDDC. I am also a member of the Ad-hoc committee set up to look into the poor execution of the Ibom Science Park which should assist Akwa Ibom State's economy considerably.

I set aside wednesdays to work at the constituency office in etinan (10 a.m. - 7 p.m.) to meet with as many constituents who visit the office (40 Uyo Road, Etinan) as possible. These office hours do not include my regular weekend visits to the constituency where I use the time to attend marriages, burials and thanksgivings, in order to contiue my interactions with my constituents, which I consider to be very important..

I am a firm believer in civic duty and public service. I have travelled far and wide, seeking to partner with any individual(s) and/or organizations to help better the lives of my constituents.

I have an M.B.A. from the University of Uyo, Nigeria and am married with 3 children.
